My new struggle, a resolution I am taking with me into 2010 is perfecting the art of forgiveness. Forgiving the people who I believe have wronged me thus far in my life. Alhamdulillah all praise is Allah’s alone and with his mercy and guidance I have been able to get to a point in my life where I am truly, truly HAPPY! But before I can even contemplate such a peaceful existence, I had to search long and hard inside myself and find peace and forgiveness towards the individuals who have wronged me in the past.

I finally understand that sincere forgiveness is not tinted with expectations. At last, I have stopped waiting for people to apologize to me for their transgressions or even more naively change their ways. I stopped trying to get them to understand me, or see things from my point of view. I am just going to release them all, in turn releasing myself from this prison sentence of life full of hate I imposed on myself. I firmly believe that life feeds back truth to people in due time. I am just simply finding mine right now!
