Chasing yet another dream
Recently, while taking a Photoshop class to polish my craft, I met an inspiring chef by the name of Daniel. From our first encounter I thought him to be sweet, intelligent, well spoken and extremely passionate about life and about his craft(cooking)
I remember thinking I want to be that infectious with my passions. I want to be that passionate about life in general. Listening to his story about what made him pursue his dream of becoming a chef and being in total awe of his upcoming trip to go study in Italy further inspired me to hear that tiny voice in the back of my head I often ignore, the one that’s been telling me for years to purse my ignored passion of learning to bake cakes, desserts and other yummy pastries.
Coincidence that my passion for photography led me to Daniel, who in turn led me to my other passion for cooking/baking. I think not. Coincidence that Daniel turned out to be my neighbour; ready to provide brochures, course selection, sample meals, and words of encouragement? I think not. There is no such thing as coincidence. It's just the universe dreaming with me and telling me to make my dreams a reality.
And so I shall. Stay tuned for my cooking/baking adventures.
