Twisted Elegance

Me, myself and I have all gathered here today,
Trying to put to rest the million faces of twisted elegance.
The strong female,
the twisted child,
the sincere women,
and the lost girl.
The strong female that radiates confidence and makes her presence felt,
Is making up for the ridicules,
and the heartbreaks the lost girl was dealt.
The twisted child who steals, cheats, and lies
Is tired of hearing the sincere woman cries.
Dwelling on the one man who says she is not what he wants.
Trying to fulfill a needless quest for love.
However when the love is never returned,
The strong women takes over.
She refuses to let the sincere women become a wandering rover.
The little girl however has been paralyzed by time and circumstance.
Her worries and insecurities are many.
She bares the burden of keeping secrets for uncle Kenny.
Yet through the command of the strong women she suffers silently.
For her, pride doesn’t make the lies easy to bare,
Easy to stare,
At the face of death with nobody there.
So understand the twisted child’s need.
To mislead, proceed and succeed.
To cheat before being cheated on.
To lie before being lied to.
But I bet you a buck that you never met the lost girl.
Or had a conversation with the sincere women.
Damn you were never even told about the twisted child.
You were too busy watching the sexy sway,
Of the strong woman’s thighs.
Envying her confidence, grace and style.
Not stepping back once to notice her strained smile.
Over looking the agony in her eyes.
Filled with unshed tears of having failed her counterparts.
And having to wake up tomorrow and began this process from the start.
