Modern Day Casanova

Upon first seeing Hakim,
He’ll take your breath away.
Your palms will get sweaty,
And your stomach will turn in knots.
Look closer and breathe back in.
Take your sweaty hands
And wipe them on your jeans.
Go eat for you missed lunch hence the knots.
Now walk by again and meet poor Hakim.
He thinks he’s modern day Casanova.

He brushes girls off,
As though they are snow flakes
Falling all over him on a winter’s eve.
He is use to eating up compliments.
While quenching his thirst with Gatorade
Is it in you he’ll ask?
Be careful to answer
For his comments are sexually lit.
He tells 100 jokes per second
50 flow by your laughing face undetected with a mixed message
How tall he stands
Yet how small he seems
When he utters and boasts
Of man like Wilt Chamberlain.
Whose only accomplishment was
Having divided thighs,
And multiplied a chauvinistic way of thinking.
Meet poor Hakim
The simpleton who though he was modern day Casanova.

For him to love you
You must sculpt yourself into a master piece.
However don’t fool yourself
For you’ll never hang with the likes of Malcolm and Martin
Dangling from his bedroom wall.
More like his air Jordan’s
That change with the season’s fall.

For him to give you the time of day
Your name must be Spalding.
You must be easy to grip.
Have no problem with being bounced, passed and dropped,
When ever the need arises.
You must be willing to except
That without him you’re nothing but hot air
But with him,
You’re a legend.
An M.V.P
Girls meet poor Hakim
He thinks he’s modern day Casanova.
