Or an ailing elderly that lived to be a hundred.
Whether you loved,
Or left behind those who were not done loving you.
Life starts without asking for your permission.
And ends just as abruptly as it started.
It was never meant to be a Blockbuster existence.
There was never a guarantee.
No promises of a time frame.
No excuse or explanations after the fact.
Yesterday did not wait for you to dismiss it.
Surely tomorrow will come just as willed.
A life lost, is still a life lost,
Regardless of geographical locations.
Virginia Tech/Columbian/9’11
Somali/Ethiopia/Sudan
Iraq/Iran/Palestine.
A mother’s heart ranching cry in Africa,
Sounds exactly the same as a mother heart ranching cry in North America.
If you prick it,
If you stab it,
If you shoot it,
White skin bleeds red.
Just as black skin bleeds red.
All questions don’t have answers.
All people are not the same.
The world does not exist in shades of black and white
For I often dwell in grey.
And all History isn’t history
If were so bent on repeating it.
We might as well call it the future.
However, in a world full of evil, injustices
Hatred, greed and corruption.
I make a conscious decision,
To forgive even if I can’t forget.
To smell the roses.
To dance in the rain.
To uplift my brothers and sisters.
And despite all the ugliness in the world,
To believe that GOD is good
And anything negative, bad, or evil
Are the workings of mere mortals.
And can be overcome.
