The Silent Friend

I have your back,
Unless you’re not around.
I am your girl,
Unless I am around the girl who’s not your girl.
I don’t stand up for you.
Because I never knocked you down.
I am involved,
Yet I am not involved,
So don’t get me involved.
I am your friend.
All the time.
Monday to Friday,
Eight to five.
But can I get the weekends off?
I just want to chill.
With everyone else who is not your friend.
Yeah they talk
But I don’t.
I am your girl.
I just listen.
