Words console, comfort and calm me when all else fails me

"And she thought she special"

"I hurt her" you said.
And all I heard was I'll hurt you.
"I used her for sex" you said.
And all I heard was I'll use you for sex.
"She meant nothing" you said.
And all I heard was in couple months you'll mean nothing.
"She got a head of herself" you said.
And all I heard was don't think I am your man.
"She got too attached" you said.
And all I heard was I am not looking for something substantial.
"She played hard to get" you said.
And all I heard was she took too long to put out.
"I am young" you said.
And all I heard was I don't want to be responsible for my actions.
I looked in the mirror,
And all I saw was her.
I thought about her for a minute and wondered.
Did she think she was different?
Did she stand where I stand?
On the brinks of un-decidedness.
Did she look in the mirror?
And did she see the girl before her?
And did she so stupidly ignore her
Like I am about to ignore you?
