“Footprints”

It's not about the Hammers, BMW and Jaguars you drove
A Honda or a Buick would’ve been just fine for the journey.
It's about what drove your life.
It's not about how you wore the Roca wear, D&G
Or Prada's invading your closet.
But how you wore your pride
Stepped with your confidence
And accessories with your self-esteem.
It's not about the Ivey league university
Or community collage you want to.
But about the knowledge you've gained
To show up to your life.
It's not about the hot boyfriend/girlfriend that didn't love you
But how you loved yourself enough to give love a chance.
It was never your trip to Cancun, Paris or South Africa
That made you world renown.
But your willingness to learn new languages,
Respect different cultures,
And try new foods that made you human.
It was never about how many friends you had
But who you were a friend to.
It's not about how you wish you lived
But how you're remembered when you're not living no more.
At the end of it all
It's about how big the footprints you left behind were
Even though you had the tiniest feet.
