GQ Model

Some search for gold,
While others chase rainbows.
I am just a girl,
Trying to understand
How a smile could change my world.

Rigid jaw structure,
More jagged than Mountain Kilimanjaro.
Climbing up the shadows of his face.
Leading upwards,
Towards that narrow nose,
Flowing oh so elegantly,
Like the Nile river.

His mind clean,
Unspoiled thoughts pouring out.
Like Zam Zam water
Gushing out of the earths surface in Makkah.
His heart,
Unconquered
Like Somali,
Before the British, French and Italian invasion.
No dirty footprints left behind
By un-evolving sisters,
With prehistoric notions
On what makes a good man.
No lies,
No worries,
No past ghost lingering
And poking out at every corner,
Ready to prick like a cactus tree
Growing in the most unnatural of environment.

Yet you can’t see what I see
For your vision is blurred.
Take the blinders out of your vision.
Remove the expensive Gucci eye wear.
Stop seeing the nomadic boy without shoes,
Long enough to acknowledge
The man who's friendship made him a king in my eyes.

Dedicated to a really great friend of mine... H.I Thanks for showing me what a good man looks like :-)
